A programme that recognises the diverse range of computer skills required for numerous business administrative and information technology related positions. You will choose elective courses which may include text management, clerical, spreadsheets, presentation, HTML, integrated applications and technical units.

Additional Information and Programme Requirements:
Software:
Office Professional 2003 or Office Professional 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher.

Desktop Publishing electives require you to have MS Publisher software. This is included in MS Office Professional Version 2003 and 2007, otherwise you may need to purchase it separately.

If you choose the Clerical or MYOB Elective you will require MYOB.
Hardware:
A computer capable of running Windows XP or Vista, and Office XP Professional/Office Professional 2003/Office Professional 2007. (Including a monitor, mouse, CD-RW drive and modem).
Other:
A printer plus A4 paper and printer cartridges/ink.
A telephone (mobile or landline).
A broadband internet connection and e-mail is preferred.
Prerequisites:
Some electives require you to have specific knowledge before you study them. Where indicated, you must either have completed the unit or have experience that enables you to successfully complete the elective. You can ask your tutor about this.
Co requisites:
Some electives require you to study another, similar elective in order to maximise your learning of a specific topic. Where this is indicated you will need to choose both electives from the options given.
When you select electives to meet the prerequisite or co requisite requirements the credits must still meet the specified programme total.
